Hendersons is the only vegetarian restaurant in Edinburgh named in the MICHELIN Guide — Selected in 2024 and again in 2026, and picked out among the inspectors’ favourite new restaurants.
It’s a quiet kind of proof for a place that has never been loud about it. We’d rather let the food, the room and 62 years of doing this do the talking.
The room
A Bruntsfield corner,
grown over with green.
A tenement corner opposite Bruntsfield Links, worked into something warm and alive: an arched mural wall, dried foliage trained across the ceilings, clay-plaster and timber, brass light detail, a marble-topped bar.
Two floors — all-day dining and the bar upstairs, a private room and a small garden below. Come with the dog; the ground floor is theirs too.
